How to apply for the Durban University of Technology 2023 intake

Applications for the Durban University of Technology for the 2023 intake are now open, you can start applying now. The Durban University of Technology is located in Durban and Pietermaritzburg. It offers programmes in the faculties of Accounting & Informatics, Applied Sciences, Arts & Design, Engineering & the Built Environment, Health Sciences and Management Sciences. You can enrol at the university as a part-time or full-time student.

  • Complete the application form
  • Upload your supporting documents: ID,
  • Pay a non-refundable application fee
  • Please submit your application form, and the university will let you know that you’ve received your application.
  • The university will notify you of your application status via SMS or email.

How much is the application fee for the Durban University of Technology the 2023 intake

  • R140 to renumber, add or programme choices.

South African Applicants

  • R250 if you pay on or before 31 October 2022 for the 1st semester studies or if you pay on or before 31 May 2023 for the 2nd semester
  • R470 if you pay from 1 November 2022 for the 1st semester or 1 June 2023 for the 2nd semester

International Applicants

Minimum requirements documents required when applying to Durban University of Technology

  • Your Highest qualification
  • Final Grade 12 results or Grade 11 report if you are still matriculating

  • If you apply using grade 11 results, you will be required to upload your June grade 12 and Trials grade 12 results when you receive them.

What are the minimum foreign qualifications required for degree programmes at the Durban University of Technology?

  • At least five O’Level and two A’Level passes
  • At least five O’Level and four AS Level passes

  • At least five passes, four of these subjects must be at the IGCSE level

What are the minimum passes to apply for diploma programmes at Durban University of Technology

You can qualify for diploma programmes if you have at least five O’Level subjects, including English and come from SADC countries.
