Majuba TVET College is one of 50 public Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Colleges in South Africa. The college contributes to developing the human skills required for economic growth by providing students with relevant education and training programmes. Majuba TVET College covers Amajuba and Umzinyathi Districts in KwaZulu-Natal Province. It has eight campuses spread in Newcastle, Madadeni and Dundee areas.

How to apply to Majuba TVET College

Applications at Majuba TVET have now been made easy. You can now apply online from anywhere; all you need is access to good working internet and a phone, tablet, desktop or laptop. The college will let you know the outcome of your application via email or SMS, and applicants must make sure they have submitted their correct and working contact details. Here are the steps you must follow to apply:

  • Complete the Placement Test. A placement is compulsory, and please do not skip any questions.

Would you like to enrol at a TVET College but cannot fund your studies?

The Department of Higher Education and Training has developed a bursary scheme to assist students from lower backgrounds with access to public TVET colleges. NSFAS administers the bursary at TVET colleges. This bursary is non-refundable. Go to www.nsfas.org.za for application information.

Who qualifies for NSFAS Funding?

  • South African citizens
  • Students from low-income families
  • Orphans
  • SASSA grant recipients
  • First time under undergraduate students, however, there are selected post-graduate programmes funded by NSFAS to check the list on the website.

What does NSFAS require from students benefiting from its bursary?

Qualifying students for the bursary must sign the NSFAS Bursary Agreement form with the following terms and conditions.

  • Compliance with the college’s rules and regulations
  • Attending and participating in lectures
  • Doing all assignments prescribed by the college
  • Seat for all tests and examinations
